Convene App 3.0 Launches!

It's been a long time coming, but today, we're incredibly excited to announce the launch of the NEW Convene platform that includes Convene Manager 2.0 and Convene's new mobile apps for iOS and Android, the complete package! For more information on getting started, click hereIt's simple, it's responsive, and it's powerful!

Over the past nine months we've completely re-written Convene's content management system, dubbed, "Manager 2.0" to make it easier to manage events. Manager 2.0 gives you everything you need to build an event and use the Convene app, in rapid time. We've also added more "event types" and included a new set of mobile apps with new sign in options to make it easier for registrants to find and join their events.

Sunsetting the Legacy platform.

"Convene Legacy" is the term used for v1 of Convene that includes this CMS, this iOS app, and this Android app. If you're planning an event, build it in the new Manager.

For a short period of time, you'll notice two sets of Convene apps in the App Store and Google Play store. The grayscale app on the right is "Convene - Gen 1," whereas the app on the left is Convene 3.0. Don't worry. The platform in which you're building (or built) an event will direct your registrants to the right destination in the app stores. We just took a few extra steps to differentiate them.

There will be no service interruption.

Soon, we will disable new event creation in Convene Legacy. All new events should be built in Manager 2.0. When the events built on Legacy run there course, we will pull the Convene "Gen 1" apps from the app stores. Then, it's smooth sailing on the new platform! 

We will leave Convene Manager 1.0 (aka, the CMS) available to extract content until December 2016.
